Some of the investment funds, also funding in Kosovo, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on debt refinancing to support the microfinance sector during the COVID-19 pandemic.

October 20th marks the European Microfinance Day. For this 5th edition, many events are being organized in Europe throughout October. Even this year, Kosovo and Kosovo's Microfinance Institutions become part of this event throughout Europe.
AMIK has cooperated with EMN (European Microfinance Network) for the mapping report on regulatory framework for microfinance in Kosovo.
The Executive Director of the Association of Microfinance Institutions of Kosovo (AMIK), Arsim Bruçaj, in an interview for the Telegraph, said that these financial institutions have helped the development of the economy and businesses.
Bruçaj ka treguar se institucionet mikrofinanciare kanë porfoljo kreditore prej rreth 160 milionë euro, me rreth 80 mijë klientë. Por lejimi i pagesave dhe transaksioneve, sipas tij, do të ndikonte në uljen e kamatave të kredive.
